Katharine is Head of the Family Law Team and advises on divorce, matrimonial, property, children, pre-nuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes and domestic violence. She is a member of Resolution, an organisation of over 6,500 family lawyers and other professionals in England and Wales, who believe in a constructive and non-confrontational approach to family law matters.
Katharine studied law at Hull University and completed the Legal Practice Course at Guildford College of Law. She trained at Taylor Walton, Solicitors before joining Foreman Laws in 2002. She qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and has worked upon 1000 plus family law cases. Katharine is also a qualified Collaborative Lawyer and holds a Specialist Resolution Accreditation for Financial Provision and Domestic Violence.
Katharine is accustomed to supporting clients in complex situations, in particular on divorce and financial matters for medium and high net worth clients. She is also experienced in all matters related to the Children Act, from contact disputes to ‘leave to remove’, special guardianship and child abduction. She is also able to advise and support domestic violence cases and cohabitation disputes.
