Extending your lease or leasehold enfranchisement
If you have a property with an unexpired lease term of less than 80 years you should look to extend your lease at the earliest opportunity. If you intend to sell or re-mortgage the property in the near future a potential buyer or lender may insist that you extend the lease on or before completion.
